The institutes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are mainly active in the fields of production engineering, energy and process engineering as well as design and development. Qualified professors teach and conduct research in their specialised fields and are supported by numerous research assistants who are both involved in the courses on offer and drive forward their own research. They receive expert support from the many administrative and technical staff.
