Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH)
The PZH is one of the most important research centres for production technology - both nationally and internationally. Around 250 scientists, mainly from the engineering and natural sciences, conduct research at the seven institutes of Leibniz Universität located there. Under the umbrella of the PZH, the employees of these institutes not only bring together their specialist disciplines, they also meet the engineering service provider TEWISS Technik und Wissen GmbH and the numerous smaller production technology companies, many of which are spin-offs from the institutes.
Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT)
The Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT) is an interdisciplinary association of institutes and research facilities with the aim of pooling the knowledge available in the individual specialist areas and making it usable for research, teaching and knowledge transfer in the field of optical technologies. This includes the application for and coordination of joint third-party funded projects. HOT conducts basic and applied research in the field of optical technologies.
Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE)
The Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) is an interdisciplinary Leibniz research centre at Leibniz Universität Hannover in the field of nanotechnology. The centre's objectives are both excellent basic research and application-oriented engineering in the nano field, accompanied by corresponding interdisciplinary training. Currently, 30 research groups from five faculties are involved in the LNQE.
Leibniz Research Center Energy 2050 (LiFE 2050)
The Leibniz Research Centre Energy 2050 (LiFE 2050) emerged from the research initiative "Energy 2050 - Transformation of the Energy System" in 2013. Members from all faculties of Leibniz University Hannover and from various affiliated institutes work together in LiFE 2050 with the aim of making research contributions to a sustainable, reliable and affordable energy system. The focus is on the transformation process from a system with large conventional generation plants to a system with several small decentralised plants based on renewable energies.
Laser Zentrum Hannover e. V. (LZH)
On 20 June 1986, the Laser Zentrum Hannover e. V. (LZH) was established under the patronage of the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Transport in the legal form of a registered association. The mission of the association is the non-profit promotion of applied research in the field of laser technology. In Hanover, the LZH works in close partnership with Leibniz University.
Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover (IPH)
The Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH is a service provider for production technology. Its work focuses on research and development, consulting and qualification. In detail, the institute continuously works on the further development and realisation of innovative ideas in the fields of process technology, production automation and logistics. Within the framework of research and consultancy projects, the IPH enables students to carry out responsible, specialised activities.
