Hannover Centre for Production Technology
The Hannover Centre for Production Technology is one of the most important research centres for production technology - nationwide and internationally. Around 250 scientists, mainly from the engineering and natural sciences, conduct research at the seven Leibniz University institutes located there. Under the umbrella of PZH, the employees of these institutes not only bring together their specialist disciplines, they also meet the engineering service provider of TEWISS Technik und Wissen GmbH and the numerous smaller production technology companies, many of them spin-offs from the institutes.
Hanover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT)
The Hanover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT) is an interdisciplinary association of institutes and research facilities with the aim of pooling the knowledge available in the individual fields and making it available for research, teaching and knowledge transfer in the field of optical technologies. This includes the application and coordination of joint third-party funded projects. The HOT conducts basic and applied research in the field of optical technologies.
Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE)
The Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) is an interdisciplinary Leibniz Research Center of Leibniz University Hannover in the field of nanotechnology. Its goals are both excellent basic research and application-oriented engineering in the nano range, accompanied by appropriate interdisciplinary training. Currently, 30 working groups from five faculties are involved in the LNQE.

Center for Biomedical Engineering
The Center for Biomedical Engineering emerged in 1999 from the innovation offensive of the state of Lower Saxony and the universities of Lower Saxony. Medical technology is a strongly future-oriented field of technology with worldwide growth potential. At the level of university research, cooperative collaboration across the various departments is essential to solve the interdisciplinary tasks involved. The aim of the Center for Biomedical Engineering is therefore to structure both teaching and research in an interdisciplinary manner.

Leibniz Research Center Energy 2050 (LiFE 2050)
The Leibniz Research Centre Energy 2050 (LiFE 2050) was founded in 2013 as a result of the research initiative "Energy 2050 - Transforming the Energy System". Members from all faculties of Leibniz University Hannover and from various affiliated institutes work together in LiFE 2050 with the aim of making research contributions to a sustainable, reliable and affordable energy system. The focus is on the transformation process from a system with large conventional generation plants to a system with several small decentralised plants based on renewable energies.

Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH)
The Laser zentrum Hannover e. V. was founded on 20 June 1986. (LZH) was founded under the patronage of the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Transportation in the legal form of a registered association. The task of the association is the non-profit promotion of applied research in the field of laser technology. In Hanover, the LZH practices a close partnership with the Leibniz University.

Institute for Integrated Production Hanover (IPH)
The IPH - Institute for Integrated Production Hanover gGmbH is a service provider for production technology. The main areas of work are research and development, consulting and qualification. Under the leadership of the three partners Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd-Arno Behrens, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Peter Nyhuis and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ludger Overmeyer, the company is continuously working on the further development and implementation of innovative ideas in the fields of process technology, production automation and logistics. The IPH is also responsible for the qualification of young engineers in Germany. Within the scope of research and consulting projects, we enable students to carry out responsible subject-related activities. Some examples can be found in the IPH media library.
