Leibniz University Hannover Information Days

The Leibniz University Hannover Open Days offer anyone interested the ideal opportunity to experience studying and campus life up close or digitally. As part of a hybrid event, you will gain comprehensive insights into the diverse range of courses on offer, learn about life at the university and benefit from practical knowledge on topics such as applying to study, financing and choosing a course. Whether you want to participate alone, with friends, as a group or as a school class, you are welcome to discover Leibniz University Hannover and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Important information for participation

Participation in presence

Registration is required to participate in the University Information Days (HIT). You can register individually, as a group or as a school class. Please note that participation is only possible on one of the two event days.

Digital participation

The lectures on studying take place directly at the university and are streamed live at the same time. This means you can also follow all lectures online and ask the speakers questions directly during the lecture. Advance registration is not required.

Are you interested in robots, artificial intelligence, VR glasses and exciting technology experiments – plus a refreshing free drink? Then ‘Tech & Taste’ is the place for you!

As part of the university open days, the faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as Civil Engineering and Geodesy, cordially invite you to an interactive hands-on tour.

What to expect

  • Hands-on stations: Build your own gearbox, test the earthquake simulation or discover exciting connections with an intelligent geo-estimator.
  • Hands-on exhibition: Experience how topics such as sustainability, robotics and virtual reality (VR) are used in engineering sciences.
  • A glimpse into the degree programmes: Get answers to your questions about the degree programmes offered by the participating faculties.

And best of all: A free refreshment awaits you at the end!

  • At the Otto Klüsener House (Im Moore 11 B, Building 1138)
  • Tuesday, 9 September 2025, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 10 September 2025, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Starts every 20 minutes in the atrium (at the information desk), main building of Leibniz University Hannover (Welfenschloss).
