© Manmeet Singh

Make a career at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Get started as a research assistant, doctoral student, lecturer, professor or in administration. If you do not yet have a professional or university degree, you can also do an apprenticeship with us or complete a degree programme according to your individual interests. We offer a wide range of programmes and opportunities. We would be delighted to welcome you to our team.

Doctorate

A doctorate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is a varied, multi-faceted and well-paid (according to pay scale 13 TV-L, 100%) project that you don't have to do alone at your desk at home. Our 20 institutes offer a wide range of topics that you can pursue scientifically.

If you are interested in a doctorate with us, then take a look at the Leibniz University job exchange. You will find current vacancies there. You can find information on the doctoral programme here.

Training programmes

Not everyone wants to go to university, some would rather start their career straight away, work practically and earn money. At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, it is possible to train for various professions. For example, you can train as an office management assistant or industrial mechanic. Vacancies can be found on the institute pages and in the Leibniz University job exchange.
