© Sonja Smalian/PhoenixD

The aim of the Master's programme in Optical Technologies is to train specialists and executives for the entire optical industry. Favourable conditions are particularly given in Hannover, since a close co-operation of engineering and scientific research can be achieved by bundling together interdisciplinary institutes such as cluster of excellence PhoenixD, Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH) and Hannover centre for Optical Technologies (HOT).

The optical technologies course can be studied either in a German track or in an English track. Admission requirements are a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or a comparable course of studies.

Applicants who have not completed their bachelor's degree at a German university or college must provide proof of language proficiency of level C1 in German or English.
