About the DR. JÜRGEN AND IRMGARD ULDERUP STIFTUNG

The DR. JÜRGEN UND IRMGARD ULDERUP STIFTUNG pursues the goal of improving the quality of life and the conditions of the working world by promoting education and supporting science and research.

The history of the foundation goes back to 1947, when Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Ulderup founded Lemförder Metallwaren in the region of Dümmer, which was taken over by ZF Friedrichshafen AG in 1984 as Lemförder Metallwaren AG and is now responsible for the ZF Group's chassis technology worldwide within the AG.

Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Ulderup was an entrepreneur who knew how important good training and regular further education are in professional life. At the same time, he was also a people-oriented man who, like his wife Irmgard Ulderup, was keen to improve people's working and living conditions.

For this reason, the Ulderup couple founded the charitable Dr.-Jürgen-Ulderup-Stiftung GmbH in 1983, whose assets were transferred to the Dr. Jürgen-Ulderup-Stiftung b. R. in 1997, which in turn was merged with the Irmgard-Ulderup-Stiftung founded by Irmgard Ulderup in 1998 in 2009 and which today bears the name DR. JÜRGEN UND IRMGARD ULDERUP STIFTUNG.
